Writing Across the Curriculum (WAC)- Use writing as reflection and description of artwork for k-4 and 9-12 classes once a quarter. Example would be written artist statement. Other writing would be parts of the lesson that teach skills, which help writing, such as sequencing steps in an art project.

High School Examples
Students took a test with math connections. Students needed to demonstrate that they understood how to correctly measure a frame for their artwork, leaving room for overlap. Students also used writing skills in order to answer the question. This test was taken on and graded on our class Edmodo page.
