As teachers we are always looking for ways to manage our classrooms better. It is easy to keep doing what we have always done, but then become frustrated when things don't run the way we want them to. If we focus on improving and trying researched based management techniques we may be surprised at the increase behavioral and academic success of our students.

The Problem |
By pairing the tactile or other trigger with a checklist of appropriate and inappropriate behaviors, the student is able to monitor his/her behavior and change appropriately.
Finding the root of the problem will help solve the problem. If we understand why students misbehave we can help them to have fewer needs for misbehavior.

The Implementation |
According to Ayob et al. (2013) teachers who are capable of handling students in the classroom are able to more actively participate in teaching and learning, increasing student learning. Good classroom management greatly helps students successfully learn (p. 61).
